About

The Shipwreck Rally is a charity endurance trip that starts in New York City and ends in the southernmost city in the world, Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, Argentina. The aim of the rally is to provide a once-in-a-lifetime experience that is challenging and adventurous. It is not a race, there is no support, and each team must raise at least $500 for charity.

The name of the rally comes from the proximity of the finish line to Cape Horn, the sailing milestone by which ships carried trade around the world. The waters around the Cape are particularly hazardous, owing to strong winds, large waves, strong currents and icebergs; these dangers have made it notorious as a sailors’ graveyard.
